Ilene's Angel Food Cake
Instructions
- Sift together 1-1/3c cake flour and 1-1/2 c powdered sugar.
- Beat 2 cups egg whites until foamy.
- Add 2 tsp cream of tartar and 1 tsp salt. Beat until stiff.
- Add 1-1/3 c white sugar, 2 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp almond.
- Fold in flour and sugar.
- Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
Notes
The back of this recipe has written to bake 60 minutes, which leads me to believe that 40 minutes may not have been enough.
